Welcome to HydroClimWest! I’m an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies. My interdisciplinary research examines the characteristics and impacts of atmospheric rivers in western Canada, particularly in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. I am also interested in improving preparedness and mitigating the effects of extreme weather events linked to atmospheric rivers through collaborative, cross-disciplinary approaches. In addition to my work in atmospheric rivers, I also have a background in air quality and pollution, focusing on the micro-scale properties of dust particulates and the physics of dust suspension through wind tunnel experiments and numerical modelling.
